This custom Armoire doubles as a two-sided desk for The Southmore’s business center. Taking inspiration from the Asia Society across the street, MaRS adorned the armoire cabinets with a Haiku by Matsuo Basho.

The old pond.

A frog jumps in,

The sound of water.

The cabinet was made to resemble a vintage American armoire but with a modern take, covered in matte black with the Haiku splashed in hand painted gloss black lettering. The armoire sides are open and function as desks equipped with computers and slim printers to work within the sleek lines and complete functionality of this compact business center.
