Texas craftsmen and artisans were commissioned to create several bespoke elements throughout the hotel. Delta Millworks out of Austin crafted the Japanese shou-sugi-ban wood peppered throughout the hotel. Rootlab, a Houston-based metal and furniture maker studio, designed and fabricated the retail display pieces. Light artist Wes Lane out of Austin created the famous whiskey bottle installation and light show. Impression Architectural Millworkers has featured pieces such as the welcome desk, TV panels in guestrooms, and the Texas Tea rope installation. Woreman Brand Agency based in Houston collaborated with MaRS to create custom graphics that can be found on pillows, flooring, and patches on various furniture pieces.
