“Meaning in Motion is an art project that proposes an open-ended dialogue between image and viewer through motion, language, color, and form. I am interested in how, through language and the meaning of words, we feel compelled to reflect, as the passing train constitutes a metaphor of life, and the words a means for questioning ourselves, delivering different answers for each viewer.”

NARRATIVE

Video series “In Motion” by Texas-based artist Pablo Gimenez Zapiola projects poems onto moving trains while a lone bench sits under the one light source — as if one were waiting on the platform for their train. Moody and contemplative, the elevator lobbies on each guestroom floor are an experiential moment connecting the guest to the memory of namesake of the town, College Station.
