Code Tips are a pair of custom broadloom carpets acting as an art canvas that help to infuse a company’s culture and identity for the software company’s downtown office space. The carpets were designed in collaboration with Danish flooring company EGE. Tips was inspired by the client’s earliest software code, called TIPS, where the design team used the original syntax to create a repeating and rotating pattern that grounded large areas of workstations and lounge areas. The Tips pattern is multidirectional and varying overlays of font sizes and cool colors to create a patinaed effect. Code is the complimentary carpet for smaller scaled spaces such as offices and meeting rooms. Code was inspired by the organization of binary code, drawing from transparent multi-colored, repeating, and rhythmic bars to juxtapose the more graphic Tips. Warm tones were added into the varying bars to infuse more variation and interest.  The broadloom carpet is 100% Solution dyed Polyamide, 15 oz pile density, 70 oz total weight, Class A Flame Spread.
