Inspired by trains and the railway industry, this collection of carpets was designed for The George hotel to celebrate the namesake of the town, College Station.  The Axminster wool and nylon blend corridor carpet references the hand-written train schedules once found on large chalk board walls at train stations.  The pattern acts as a train schedule, listing cities and arrival times along the historic Texas Central Railway. The elevator lobby carpet is layered chalk patterns and tattered way-finding signage that likely was scattered along a train platform. The guest room carpet is a nylon tip sheared carpet with the lines of switch tracks found at train yards, creating a subtle gesture of movement within the guest room.
